I design and build custom WordPress websites for small businesses, startups and individuals across the UK. Every site is planned around what you need it to do — bring in calls, enquiries or sales — and is set up so you can update it yourself without touching any code.
What is a WordPress website?
WordPress is the software behind a large share of the world’s websites. It gives you an admin dashboard (the private “back office” of your site) where you can change text, add photos and publish news without technical knowledge.
What makes the difference is how the site is built. Many WordPress sites are put together with heavy page-builder plugins that slow them down. I build lean, custom themes — the design layer of the site — so pages load quickly and nothing is there that you don’t need.
Who it’s for
- Local businesses that want to look professional and be found by nearby customers.
- Trades and service businesses that need a steady flow of quote requests.
- Startups that need a credible website quickly, with room to grow.
- Individuals and freelancers who want a portfolio or personal site that reflects them.
If you need to sell products online, have a look at my eCommerce websites page as well.
What’s included
- Up to four mockup designs before anything is built, so you can see how your site will look.
- A custom, mobile-friendly layout that works on phones, tablets and computers — see responsive design.
- Contact and enquiry forms, with spam protection.
- Google Maps, social media links, newsletter sign-up and pop-ups where useful.
- Basic search engine set-up: page titles, descriptions, clean web addresses and a sitemap — more on my SEO page.
- Connection to Google tools such as Search Console and Analytics — see Google integrations.
- A one-hour training session so you’re confident updating the site — see content management.
How it works
- A free chat about your business, your customers and what the site needs to achieve.
- A clear proposal and a mockup, so you know the price and can see the design first.
- Build and review on a private preview link that we refine together.
- Launch and aftercare — the site goes live, is set up with Google and is kept up to date on your care plan.
How long a WordPress project takes depends on the number of pages and how quickly content is ready. I’ll give you a timeline in your proposal.

Frequently asked questions
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Every site comes with access to the admin dashboard and a one-hour training session. If you’d rather not, I can make updates for you.
Will I own my website?
[Confirm your ownership policy — for example: once the final invoice is paid, the website and its content are yours to keep.]
Can you redesign my existing WordPress site?
Yes. I can rebuild it with a faster custom theme while keeping your existing web addresses, so your search rankings are protected.
Do you use page builders?
Not as standard. I build custom themes, which keeps sites faster and easier to maintain. If you already use a page builder, we can talk about the pros and cons of keeping it.
Do you only work in Enfield?
No. I’m based in Enfield, North London, and work with clients across the UK by video call and email.
