About Loughton

Loughton is a town in the Epping Forest District of Essex, about 13 miles north-east of Charing Cross, inside the M25 and bordering Epping Forest. The original settlement grew up around Loughton High Road. Loughton and Debden stations are on the Central line of the London Underground, and the M11 is reached at junction 5 on the eastern edge of the town. Lopping Hall and St John the Baptist Church are local landmarks.
