This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit nomadrobin.com, get in touch, or become a client. It also covers how I use it, how long I keep it, and your rights.
Who I am
Nomad Robin is the trading name of Oktay Cinpolat, a sole trader based in Enfield, North London. I am the “controller” of your personal information, which means I decide how it’s used.

I don’t sell your information. I don’t use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Login details. If you give me access to your website, hosting or domain accounts so I can do the work, I keep those details securely, use them only for your project, and recommend you change them once the work is finished.
Websites I host or look after for clients
If I host or maintain your website, I may handle personal information about your visitors and customers, such as form submissions or orders. In that case, you are the controller and I am your “processor”. I only handle that data to provide the service you’ve asked for, keep it secure, and never use it for anything else.
Who I share it with
I share personal information only when needed to run my business, with trusted services such as:
- my website and email hosting provider, which stores this site and my emails;
- Google, for Google Analytics (only with your consent);
- Stripe, which processes card payments made on this website. Stripe receives your name, email, payment details and (if given) phone number, and acts as an independent controller for fraud prevention (stripe.com/gb/privacy). I never see or store your full card number;
- my accounting software and my bank, to issue invoices and receive payments;
- my accountant, if I use one, and HMRC, where the law requires it.
Some of these services may store data outside the UK, for example in the USA. When that happens, the transfer is protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don’t go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records and invoices: 6 years after our work ends, to meet tax rules and in case of any legal claim.
- Website and hosting logins: deleted when our work ends, or sooner if you ask.
- Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google Analytics.
- Email updates: until you unsubscribe.
How I keep it safe
I use secure, password-protected systems with two-factor authentication where available, keep software up to date, and limit access to me alone.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you;
- ask me to correct it if it’s wrong;
- ask me to delete it, where I don’t need to keep it by law;
- object to, or ask me to restrict, how I use it;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example for analytics cookies or email updates.
To use any of these rights, email Show email address. I’ll reply within one month. It’s free.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies. Analytics cookies are only used if you agree. Read my Cookies Policy for the full list and to change your choice.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first and I’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on Show phone number.
Changes to this policy
I’ll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
