I’m Oktay, Robin’s dad

Hi there! I’m Oktay, based in Enfield, North London. I’ve been immersed in web design and development since 2018. Since then I gained a wealth of experience in wordpress and shopify design and developer development. With the birth of my first born child, Robin, in January 2023, I decided to celebrate his welcoming by formalising my casual projects into a professional service platform and introduced Nomad Robin after him to provide service to a wider client base.

My love for web design and development grew out of frustration of the web developers I used back in 2001, 2007 and 2010 when I needed a website. So I know and empathise with the opinion that creating a good functioning website requires an ongoing relationship with the web developer. And this is the reason I’m primarily recommended; because I provide a truly personalised service to achieve my client’s requirements and improve the online presence of their business.

I graduated Birkbeck College (University of London) in 2015 (as a mature student when I was 30!) with BA degree in Politics, Philosophy and History (PPH), which was driven solely by intellectual curiosity.

Hobbies & Interests

I’m also proud to say I’m not the stereotypical web developer who lives in a dark room wearing a hoodie (except when it’s freezing cold). I’m a fan of museums, arts and cultural activities and events. I try to attend them at every opportunity along with Robin and Aylin. I’m into fictional books too, but these days, the dad responsibilities have taken over; teaching Robin how to talk, walk and understand the weird and wonderful things happening around him.

Thanks to Robin, our favourite music style is now nursery rhymes. We all enjoy it so much, especially “Wheels on the Bus”, “Five Little Monkeys” and “Drunken Sailor” (though the last one is an all-time favourite).
